I Went to Rehab with Lohan!

Saturday was a gloriously warm day in Boston. It felt like a mini indian summer! With my bestie Kerrie in town from Virginia, we spent the day lunching, shopping, and giving in to sweets in the North End.

{Boston is undoubtedly picturesque in certain spots.}

{Lunch at Dick's Last Resort, a restaurant notorious for their rude & funny waitstaff.}

{The crazy hats our waiter put on us!}

{One person got all the straws for the table!}

I already miss her and wish we had more time to hang out! She definitely brought some beautiful Virginia weather up here with her (and took it back home too)!

The Fashion Trail

Tomorrow officially marks the beginning of Boston Fashion Week. A local lounge in the super trendy South End hosted a glamorous prequel/kick-off party tonight in celebration of the industry!

I wanted to wear something a little edgy and funky, so I chose a skirt from Forever 21's Twelve by Twelve line that I purchased for $9 during their online sample sale! The grommets and leather-like trim, coupled with a busy pattern, went perfectly with a basic black top.

I love these Steve Madden suede fold-over booties. They have a low heel, which makes them incredibly comfortable to walk in (a savior for walking the city streets!)

Local models and fashion enthusiasts mingled and sipped on inspired cocktails. I tried the Fashion Runway martini, made with Chambord vodka and Cranberry juice.

I cannot wait to see what else Boston has in store for the next several days!

It Started With Rum Punch

My weekend was a perfect blend of good friends, tasty delights, and lots of shopping. It all started at a strikingly ambient outdoor bar in downtown Portsmouth, NH.

{Live music and brightly colored lights strung around the neighboring trees offered a cool, laid-back atmosphere.} I absolutely had to visit this bar again before it closed for the season!

{A bucket of rum punch?! Yes please!}

{Saturday night drinks with Katy & Ryan}

{Topped with gooey Vermont white cheddar cheese, we quickly polished off these cheddar fries.}

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! And a big, HUGE congratulations to Mara & Matthew on their engagement!

Asymetrical Urban Glamour

There's something unique about this super soft and cozy t-shirt dress from Forever 21. The perfectly uneven construction allows one side of the top to be loose and flowy, and the other to be comfortably form-fitting. For only $15.80 it was a total steal.

And while I'm on the subject of Forever 21, how cool is it that five fashion bloggers are gracing their homepage today, as style icons?

{Nine West Platform Oxford Heels}

The addition of the oxfords offer a funky take to this look, and I'm still trying to determine other ways I can rock this shoe for fall! What would you pair with oxfords?

New York Fashion Week & My 100th Post

Even though I'm not there, it's easy to feel the excitement, energy, and buzz of New York Fashion Week. All the tweets, the blogs, the references to celeb spotting, free-flowing champagne, and "neutrals are in!" Luckily, I was able to catch a glimpse of the action when I tuned in to the Independent Fashion Blogger's conference, which was broadcasted live on Thursday.

Key takeaways: Bloggers are INFLUENTIAL! Every blog post you create should offer value to your readers. Get people thinking and talking. Not everyone is going to like you and you have to get over it. If you're a fashion blogger, act as a photo editor when choosing the pictures that will make the cut on your blog. Sometimes you just have to ask - Bryanboy emailed PR contacts to get invites to NYFW runway shows. Since then, he's sat front row at Dolce & Gabbana.

And in honor of my 100th post, some of my favorite style photos from past posts:

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Girl's Night Bar Crawl

Variety is truly the spice of life, especially when it comes to bars. I don't have a favorite "neighborhood bar" or a usual hot spot. When the opportunity arrose to partake in a local bar crawl with two of my friends, I jumped at the chance. Mainly because a) bar crawls are fun, and b) it's been awhile since I've had a girl's night!

We sipped on mixed drinks on the expansive, open deck at the first spot we visited. (I'm convinced that outdoor bars have the best atmosphere.) From there, we mingled our way through a crowded, but energetic bar, (where we requested the song Pop Champagne) and then to a quieter locale, where I opted for a pomegranate martini.

After two hours of non-stop dancing and last call rolling around, we called it a night.

What can I say - I love three day weekends! (and four-day work-weeks that proceed them!)

Pink in my Bedroom

Hands down, I've always loved the color pink. My ostrich leather wallet is pink. Pink and black leopard print cover my suitcase. And lots of other objects in my room show off the vibrantly girly color.

Pink nails never go out of style. From L-R, OPI - You're A Pisa Work, essie - Splash of Grenadine, OPI - Purple-opolis, Sephora by OPI - Go With the Flow-er, OPI - Suzi & The Lifeguard

I love having framed pictures of me and my friends on display.

Blog business cards I created at TinyPrints.com come in handy at blogging meetups, networking events, and conferences!

Pink beauty products. From L-R, Dove Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena deodorant, Hard Candy body spray, Studio 35 nail polish remover, Victoria's Secret Kissable Massage Oil, Victoria's Secret "Sexy Sparkle" Shimmer Moisture Mist, Pottery Barn room spray in Cherry Blossom, Scotch lint roller.

An inspiration board (in the works) with memories of California.

A pink keyboard and Coach mousepad add some flair to my otherwise "boring" workspace.

How about you? What colors are most predominant in your bedroom?
